TIGERCAT MEMBERSHIP ACTIVITIES

Welcome to the East Detroit Tigercats. Our program's success depends on the help of not only our Tigercat Staff, all of whom are volunteers, but with the help of the parents as well. Most parents find it to be a rewarding experience to be involved with the league's activities. This is why we require the membership fee of $25.00 per family. You must sign up for at least one(1) membership activity to remain in good standing. Your membership fee will be refunded to you at the end of the season after completing
CHAIN GANG: Moving the down markers on the sidelines during all 4 quarters of any home game.
50/50 RAFFLE SALE: Selling 50/50 raffle tickets in the stands, on the sidelines, and in the visiting stands, during any home game. Please make sure to offer tickets to Concession workers. Tickets CANNOT be sold to minors.
BAKE SALE DONATION: Donating any 4 Bakers' dozen (52) baked goods of your choice to the bake sale at any home game.
BOOSTER TABLE: Work and entire home game selling Tigercat apparel.
CONCESSION STAND: Work an entire home game selling food items from the stand.
SECURITY: Handles security for designated area assigned be the Membership Coordinator.
GAME DAY SET-UP: Help set up the morning of home games. This activity requires physical exertion.
Each of these activities counts as ONE volunteer act. You may choose any combination of two or you may work for the same activity twice during the season. any two(2) of the membership activities listed below. Please see the Membership Coordinator at the Tigercat building or during the parent meeting to sign up for an activity. Volunteers are needed for home games only. You must check in and out at the booster table, if you do not check in we cannot verify that you performed your duty. If you do not participate in at least one(1) activity you will no longer be in good standing and your child(ren) will lose their status as a returner for the following season and well as forfeiture of your membership fee. Refunds are issued at the end of the season.

SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP ACTIVITES

PICNIC: You may work a game or other activity at the picnic for two(2) hours. This counts as one membership activity.
YEARBOOK: Help get ads for the yearbook. There is a minimum amount of ads that you have to get. You must discuss this with the Vice President, who is in charge of the yearbook.
TEAM REPRESENTATIVE: Handles daily paperwork between building and team during the season for a specific team. This one activity will cover your requirements for the season.
There are a number of Home games that you can volunteer for, it does not have to be your child's game. We will need approximately forty(40) volunteers for each home game. We always need volunteers so please help out when you can. Thank you in advance, for any assistance you can give.
